Software updates are an integral part of the service provided by the company after a phone is purchased. Most of the brands work well in working on regular and large OS updates in their high-end phones. One of the brands that is still hanging around without any answer is Lenovo. The company had launched the flagship phone in Z series, the Lenovo Z2 Plus with a price of Rs. 19999 and then reduced the price and it had the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
Every user, there are a lot of them I am sure, have been asking Lenovo about the software update but so far, it has been in vain. The social media teams that reply to the messages from users have been saying that there is no set date for the devices to get the update and they will just update whenever there is something available.
There is one thing for sure after the Lenovo team assured that the company and software developers are working on the update and sooner or later the phones will receive the update. The Lenovo Z2 Plus is currently running Android Marshmallow OS right now and after that, it will surely run the Android Nougat update. The Lenovo Z2 Plus runs ZUI over Android Marshmallow and this is not the Cyanogen one that was seen in the ZUK Z2 in China.
So, what’s with the status of Android Nougat update for Lenovo Z2 Plus?
It is coming soon. But the release date for the update has not been confirmed and we are waiting to know about the same. It would still have the ZUI interface over Android Nougat OS. We also know that once the phone gets Nougat, the performance should become even better and will have more features included.
The tentative release date of the Nougat update for Lenovo Z2 Plus about the end of April 2017. While it was the ZUI 2.5 version based on Marshmallow OS, we could see this interface updated to ZUI 3.0 or something else.
